Kessler’s Lawn, Tree, and Garden Equipment Company LLC has been in business over 30 years. John Kessler, Owner, started in the power equipment industry at the age of 12 when he worked part-time for a local repair shop during the school year and then full-time during the summers. He continued this work during his mechanical drafting and architectural drawing program of study in high school and throughout his double major in mechanical and electrical engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Toward the end of college, John joined the Army National Guard 216th Combat Engineers where he served for six years and learned to service, troubleshoot, and repair large construction equipment and diesel engines. His service included combat time in Honduras.

In 1987 he started his own business at the age of 26 in a 1200 square foot rented building at 3500 River Road, Cincinnati. Today Kessler’s Equipment Company is at the same location and has grown to be an over 6500 square foot building with a showroom for over a dozen manufacturers’ pro-turf and industrial equipment, a storage building for new equipment and equipment being serviced, a stockroom with over 50,000 parts and a 2000 square foot state-of-the-art service area. John continues to work on and oversee everything that comes into or goes out of the shop allowing him to guarantee everything that the company works on.
